A rough million hour flight, a five hour layover in the middle of the night, sleeping on a bench in the airport and then another 3h flight and I’ve arrived in Taipei. Looking at the pluses, the layover airport had Starbuck open at 4am and the hotel here in Taipei has palm trees and a 4 story waterfall in the lobby.
Took a short walk around the area the hotel is in and I’m so amazed by how despite the 9 lane one way road right outside the hotel and all the traffic it feels like you’re in the middle of a rainforest. I love all the trees and the beautiful flowers.
En kämpig låååååång flight, fem timmar på Pekings flygplats mitt i natten, sova på en bänk på flygplatsen och sen ytterligare en tre timmars flight innan jag landade i Taipei. Försöker se det positiva i det hela, flygplasten i Peking hade en Starbuck som var öppen 4 på morgonen och hotellet här i Taipei har palmer och att 4 våningar högt vattenfall i lobbyn. Inte illa!
Tog en kort promenad i området runt hotellet och jag är så förundrad över hur det, trots en niofilig enkelriktad väg med massa trafik precis bredvid hotellet, känns som om man är mitt i regnskogen. Älskar alla trä och vackra blommor!
